High Quality Movado Watches

Movado watches come from humble beginnings but have always kept one thing straight: quality is everything.

In 1881, 19 year old entrepreneur and watchmaker Achilles Ditesheim hired six watchmakers and opened a watch shop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. All movado watches were and still are carefully crafted by hand. Teaming up with designers and artists, Movado has always sought to create one-of-a-kind watches that will stand the test of time.

Meaning "Always in Motion", Movado watches are precision crafted and meet the highest Swiss watch standards. Each watch is a product of Swiss watch making technology and features a quartz movement accurate to within seconds a year. Movado watches account for over 200 international awards, 101 patents and the inclusion in the collections of 20 museums worldwide.

Movado watches are best known for their classic Museum Watch, which was created in 1947 by American designer Nathan Horwitt and features a single dot marker at the 12:00 position. The simplicity of this design, based on a sun dial, is still popular to this day and is a testament to the longevity of Movado's creations.

For a classic design that will stand the test of time and dependable quality, try a Movado watch today. For more information regarding Movado watches, their selections, and their history, please refer to the sites below.
